The GLOWB aluminum ground spike securely fastens to the GLOWB light or battery case allowing to "stake" the light in the ground (garden or pathway) or in the beach. Keep your GLOWB exactly where you want it to stay.  The ground spike or garden stake insures that your light fixture is in the position that you desire and that it will stay there. 

Note that you can use any 1/4"x20 threaded rod. This allows you to choose a longer rod in case you want to raise your lights. Doing so can raise the lights, so they are visible above the tops of shrubs. One of our customers used couple short pieces of threaded rod to join several GLOWB lights together. He made a totem pole!
